Travel FLAG is for the advanced player who wants an additional challenge along with additional training. Empower your player to gain skills and confidence in a fun, competitive, and organized environment.

2026 SPRING SEASON TRYOUTS

Tryouts will focus on demonstrating your skills through various drills, including throwing, catching, flag pulling, coverage, and overall speed and quickness. We'll also be looking for qualities like sportsmanship and leadership.

• Prospective players must attend at least one tryout to be considered.

We are always seeking high-quality coaches. If you would like to be considered for a coaching position with your child’s team, please complete a Tryout Registration as a coach.

TOURNAMENT OPTIONS

Each team participates in at least four local, one-day tournaments each season. Whenever possible, all teams join the same tournaments.

PRACTICES

Typically, teams will have two 90-minute practices per week. PENN Athletics Club acknowledges that athletes may be participating in other sports programs. Flexibility may be provided for athletes with other commitments, at the discretion of the coaching staff of each respective team.

UNIFORM

A full uniform includes one Game Jersey, Black Nike Pocketless Shorts, and Black Socks. The Game Jersey is included and the items are purchased separately.

TEAM EQUIPMENT

REGISTRATION FEE

The Tryout Registration is completely Free of charge. For those who make the Travel FLAG team, the Seasonal Registration Fee is set at $495 per player. This fee comprehensively covers all team-related expenses, including participation in tournaments and leagues, payment for referees, field rentals, and necessary equipment.

SELECTED PLAYERS

Offers can be made at any time during the tryout process. Players may choose to accept an offer and secure their spot either by making a $200 deposit payment or by paying the full amount.

Selected players may also participate in our regular NFL FLAG League. Please register for that as normal. Travel FLAG games and practices may conflict with regular NFL FLAG games and practices. We do our best to avoid scheduling conflicts, however, some conflicts are unavoidable.

PLAYERS NOT SELECTED

Prospective players not selected will be notified, which could be at any time during the tryout process.

PLAYING UP

All players must try out within their correct age group.

Generally, playing in an older age group is not permitted. However, exceptions may be made in specific circumstances where it is clearly in the player's best interest. This applies to players who are exceptionally dominant in their current age group and would benefit from a greater challenge. Any exceptions will be determined between the Travel Flag Director and the coaching staff.

Please note that requests to play in an older age group based solely on player or team preference will not be considered.
