PENN Cadets

Our PENN Cadets program is for those young soccer players who are looking to play more, learn more, and be challenged more. The format is simple: all small-sided games with lots of action and scoring. Coach Dave, along with the parent coaches, will be coaching the players within the games.

PENN Cadets is a free program during the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons. It’s open to all 1st and 2nd Grade Boys and Girls and takes place on Monday evenings at Hansell Park beginning the first week in April.

If your young soccer player is interested, please sign up here:

The Fall season begins in August and ends in November. Teams train twice a week with games on the weekends, mostly on Saturdays.

Optional training opportunities are available for all players. It's understood that many players participate in other sports during the Winter and can't always participate in all the options. Most teams usually participate in local indoor soccer leagues as well, but again, it's optional.

The Spring season begins in March and ends in May. Teams train twice a week with games on the weekends, mostly on Sundays.

Pick-Up Soccer Games take place one day each week through the Summer. It's an opportunity for the players to be creative, think for themselves and have fun. Participation is optional, but strongly encouraged.

Club Dues are $125 for the Fall Season and $125 for the Spring Season. Club Dues go towards the costs of the club fields and facilities.

There's also a Team Fee each Fall Season and each Spring Season. The Team Fee covers all direct team costs, including trainers, tournaments, leagues, referees, equipment, and any other miscellaneous costs. The Team Fee varies from team-to-team, depending on the level of play.

Winter training is optional and the cost also varies from team-to-team. Winter indoor soccer leagues are generally between $90 and $120 per player.

Summer Pick-Up Soccer Games are free!

A full uniform with two jerseys, shorts and socks is $84. Other items may be purchased, like warm ups, back packs and extras.

  • US Club Soccer player registrations.

  • Hiring professional trainers and coaches.

  • Collecting and maintaining all background clearances.

  • Securely and confidentially collecting and maintaining player documents, such as birth certificates, medical release forms, player pictures and RG-6 forms.

  • Scheduling practices, games, tournaments, indoor & outdoor facilities, trainers, and coaches.

PENN Athletics utilizes TeamSnap for team and club communications.

Tired of A, B, C team chaos?

Many clubs create A, B, and C teams. Some even create D and F teams. In one or two tryouts, clubs attempt to evaluate and correctly place all players within an age group across multiple teams for the coming soccer year. It's a challenge and usually rife with placement errors.

There's another way...

Each PENN Athletics team is independent of any other team within our club. We do not use A, B or C team labels and players do not tryout for an age group, they tryout for a specific team. In addition, a tryout is an opportunity for a player to see if a specific team is the right fit for them, and for the club to determine if a prospective player is a good fit for the team. Again, each PENN Athletics team is independent of any other team within our club.
